After suffering a blast from a German bomb during the Blitz, a London shopkeeper opens up his store the next day in defiance.
On the sign he writes the following:
Business as usual.
Many businesses in London stayed open with similar sentiments despite some suffering serious damage from German bombings.
The Start of the Blitz:
London is bombed by Nazi Germany in what will become 57 consecutive nights in which bombs are dropped on the city.
The Blitz would last eight months.
