A Jewish man seconds from death above a mass grave of murdered Jews, all at the hands of the Einsatzgruppen (Task Force); SS death squads. Between 1939 and 1945 the Einsatzgruppen would be responsible for more than one million deaths, including the Massacre at Babi Yar where more than 33,000 Jews would die in just two days.
